About Us
Kits4Kids University (Madagascar) takes on the strategic and leadership role in driving training and educational management consultancy efforts for the social service and educational sector. We offer a wide spectrum of services geared towards enhancing the capability of educational organisations in both public and private sectors.
Kits4Kids University (K4KU) is committed to enhancing the specialised knowledge and skills of people serving in the educational, social and community sector. It provides training in a range of specialised areas such as social work, special education, counselling and therapy for the sector’s personnel to better meet the needs of various populations including people with disabilities, children, youth, families and the elderly.
In its strive towards this commitment, K4KU partners with recognised universities, tertiary institutions and specialist centres and professional associations, overseas and locally, to offer Professional Development programmes which include bachelor degrees, diplomas, specialist diplomas and certificates. These programmes aimed to provide formalised professional training and higher learning in key social areas. Our flagship degrees include the Bachelor and Master of Education (Special Education). Programmes like these are ideal for social service sector staff and members of the public interested in pursuing educational qualifications in various disciplines.
To keep specialised competence of the social service professionals and volunteers at a forefront, K4KU also provides Skills Development programmes consisting of short skills-based workshops catered for continuing education and training of the sector’s manpower in various sub-sectors to equip social service staff with useful knowledge and practical skills. They are generally categorised under disability; children, youth and family; eldercare; and cross sector.

A Word from President of Kits4Kids University - Prof Dr Eric Lim
Welcome to Kits4Kids University (K4KU). Since our founding, our goal has been the same: to provide a quality education, with a focus on excellence in teaching and learning. K4KU’s small classes ensure individualized attention to each of our students from our outstanding faculty. Working closely with students both inside and outside of the classroom, many K4KU instructors are also practitioners in their field, bringing clinical and professional expertise to the classroom. The Student-Faculty Interdisciplinary Global Think Tank also supports research, and students have an opportunity to showcase their research, community, or creative work through Kits4Kids Foundation Global Network.
In addition, the K4KU global office is actively involved in the university curriculum, campus, and programming. We work with a variety of constituents and programs, both on campus and around the world, including assisting incoming international students and faculty with their transition to living and studying in the Madagascar.
We also offer cooperative and career internships, and field-placement opportunities, which help students connect with employers in their senior year. Moreover, K4KU is committed to preparing graduates for active leadership in their local and global communities: Through hands-on service learning experiences in the community, K4KU students enhance their academic learning, gain practical skills, and practice civic responsibility.

Prof. Dr. Eric Lim is the founder of Kits4Kids Foundation, a privately funded enterprise started from Singapore in 2003 with schools and centres now in United States, Africa, Madagascar, Malaysia and Indonesia. He holds vast expertises - PhD, EdD, DBA, MBA, MEd, MIC(Psych), BSpEd, BSc(Hons), DIP(ECE) from business to education from esteemed universities like University of Northwest, University of Leicester, London School of Economics, Monash University, James Cook University, and serves as visiting professor and director of Daemen College, New York. He also serves as a Clinical Director for KLaboratory, a clinic for interdisciplinary approaches in medicine, therapy and education. He is also the Chair for an independent non-profit organisation focused on disabilities – International Coalition for Autism and All abilities based in United States. Under his leadership, Kits4Kids Group in Indonesia also serves children in both medical and educational approaches through clinic, therapy centres and schools. Prof. Dr Eric Lim also holds Professional Memberships with American Academy of Special Education Professional, American Association of University Professors, American Counseling Association, American Psychological Association, Council of Exceptional Children US, National Association of Special Education Teacher US, Australian Association for Special Education, - Singapore Institute of Directors, Singapore.
